Bringing together all the Hautes-Pyrénées municipalities, the Hautes-Pyrénées Departmental Energy Union (SDE65) has since 7 May 2014 (new statutes) become one of the main public energy players in the department.

Its new skills will allow the SDE65 to intervene from energy production (solar photovoltaic, pico-power plants, heating networks), through distribution (organization of the public service of electricity and gas), up to use (lighting, charging stations for electric vehicles, etc.) with a permanent concern for efficiency (network diagnostics, geographic information service, pooling of engineering with digital and telecommunications networks, etc.) and development sustainable (energy savings, shared energy advice, recovery of energy saving certificates, etc.).
